A new name ... ! To reflect where we came from and who we have become. We've been pushing the boundaries of choral music, entertaining and delighting our audiences with unique performances for years. And now, we're changing our name. It's time! We're proud of our heritage as Calgary's longest standing choir. We've been regularly performing for audiences since we started in 1952, and our music and our focus has changed with the times. Our group is a special group - made up of people you meet on the street every day, with a huge passion to sing, learn, perform, and share experiences with each other and our audiences. We wanted a name that fit with our vision: To be recognized as a leader in Canada’s vocal and performing arts communities, fusing a variety of creative elements to produce performances that entertain and open the hearts and minds of audiences everywhere. The feeling we want to leave our audience with after every concert is one of high spirits, a smile on their face, and a feeling to want to achieve new heights. The word "rev" symbolizes this feeling about having energy to move to a new place. We also wanted our name to recognize and appreciate our past, which is why we added the '52'. REVV52 - an exciting new look for an anchor of Calgary's performing arts scene.
